Mentorship As You Like It
Our new mentorship program connects you with CAP member mentors based on your specific goals and preferences. You can gain practical career advice, expert guidance to sharpen your skills, and support for professional or personal growth, all in a flexible and enriching experience.
1. ENROLL AS A MENTOR OR MENTEE
To participate, both mentors and mentees must complete enrollment to create a profile and set preferences.
- Mentors: Enroll to build your directory profile and indicate your availability. Once enrolled, you will be part of the mentor pool and visible in the Mentor Directory.
- Mentees: Enroll to define your goals and preferences. Once enrolled, you can access our Mentor Directory, enabling you to search for and connect with mentors.
- As a best practice, please complete your member profile as some elements populate your mentorship profile. This allows program participants to learn more about you. Be sure to add a photo, include information in your bio, and details of your professional history.
2. SEARCH FOR A MENTOR
The Mentor Directory allows you to select the criteria and expertise you want for a mentor. Your search should reveal potential mentor matches for you to review and consider. To view a potential mentor's entire profile, click on the mentor's name. Once you have found a good match, click on the Mentor button (below the mentor's profile image) to send the mentor a request. Additionally, you may also visit your mentee profile and click the "Search for a Mentor" button to access the directory. Mentees may leave most search fields blank to yield a large pool of potential mentors. In the event your search yields no mentor results, please send an email to Kristin Garcia.
3. CONNECT
Once a mentee sends a mentor request, mentors will receive a message in their Higher Logic Inbox with a link to their mentoring relationship page to accept the invitation. Mentors may also access and monitor requests via the Mentoring Relationships page.
